How to promote a club fundraiser on campus

A good product still needs an audience. The best promotion plans are simple, start early and give people a single link to act on.

Money never touches Cornell Craves. Students pay the club directly over Venmo or Zelle, and there is no commission or fee.

A two-week promotion calendar

1. Day one: announce with one link

Post the listing link on your club's Instagram and send it to your member list. Say what it is, the price, the deadline and the pickup time.

2. Days two to four: ask every member to share

Members reach friends, classmates and teams your account never will. Give them a ready-to-post message.

3. Midway: post a progress update

Show how close you are to the goal. People give when they see momentum.

4. Last three days: remind

Post a countdown to the order deadline and highlight remaining stock.

5. Pickup day: thank and repeat

Thank buyers, share the total raised and mention the next drop.

Use the campus feed

On Cornell Craves the drop appears in a live feed, a week view and a campus map. Students who follow a brand get an email craving alert when a club posts a drop for it, which reaches people who were not on your list.

Make the ask clear

Tie the sale to a purpose, such as a trip, a competition or an event, and state the goal. Specific goals convert better than general appeals.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get more people to buy from a club fundraiser?

Announce early with one link, ask every member to share, show progress toward a clear goal and remind people before the deadline.

Does Cornell Craves promote my fundraiser?

Yes. Your drop appears in the live campus feed, the week view and the map, and students who follow the brand get an email alert.

Does Cornell Craves take a cut of the money?

No. Students pay the club directly through Venmo or Zelle. Cornell Craves never handles or holds the money and takes no fee.

Who can use Cornell Craves?

Clubs must be legitimate Cornell student organizations, and new clubs are reviewed before their first drop goes live. Ordering is for current Cornell students with an @cornell.edu Google account. Cornell Craves is an independent student project and is not run or endorsed by Cornell University. It does not replace any Cornell approval, and each club stays responsible for following university and county rules.
