Tabling for a fundraiser at Cornell: rules and where to ask
Tabling is how many Cornell clubs promote a fundraiser, but the rules depend on where the table is. Dining locations have their own policy, and outdoor spaces can require separate registration.

Money never touches Cornell Craves. Students pay the club directly over Venmo or Zelle, and there is no commission or fee.
Tabling in Cornell Dining locations
No sales at the table
The policy says no sales activity of any kind. Fundraising is allowed only as an outreach goal.
Send the request a week ahead
Email [email protected] with your organization, your goal such as awareness or fundraising, the location and the time. Cornell asks for the request at least one week before the event.
Follow the table rules
No materials may be left behind, only identifying signage is allowed on the table, photography is not allowed, and participants must remain at the table and may not approach guests.
Outdoor and other campus spaces
Some outdoor spaces require a separate registration in Cornell's 25Live scheduling tool. If you plan a pickup or a promotional table outside, check whether the space needs a reservation and whether the activity also needs the fundraising approval described on the Student and Campus Life page.
A table that promotes a pre-order
A pre-order model changes what the table has to do. Instead of collecting cash and handing out food on the spot, the table shares a link or QR code to the club's Cornell Craves listing, answers questions and points people to the pickup time. Where sales are not allowed at a table, that difference matters, but confirm the wording of your plan with the approving office first.

Can a Cornell club sell at a table in a dining hall?
Not under Cornell Dining's tabling policy, which allows no sales activity of any kind. Fundraising can be the approved goal of an outreach table.
What is 25Live at Cornell?
25Live is Cornell's scheduling tool. Some outdoor spaces must be registered there in addition to any Dining request.
Does Cornell Craves take a cut of the money?
No. Students pay the club directly through Venmo or Zelle. Cornell Craves never handles or holds the money and takes no fee.
Who can use Cornell Craves?
Clubs must be legitimate Cornell student organizations, and new clubs are reviewed before their first drop goes live. Ordering is for current Cornell students with an @cornell.edu Google account. Cornell Craves is an independent student project and is not run or endorsed by Cornell University. It does not replace any Cornell approval, and each club stays responsible for following university and county rules.
